Day one!

The sun has set on Day 1 of dental treatments for inmates in Dakar’s prison for minors.

The day’s work began with prayer led by Mme Ndeye Diouf as the volunteer team from the US gathered with Seby de Vroome and Kari Masson from ICF, Dr. Tabitha Kieviet, François and Olivier from Keru Yakaar (House of Hope) and the directors of the prison. By 5pm, 23 patients had been treated, including 27 tooth extractions and 3 fillings.

Tomorrow, the group will return to treat more inmates as well as some of the staff. ICF will be providing the noon meal for all inmates and staff and the team will be joining them. Please continue to pray for the team and those they will be treating.
